FOURTEEN

Our roses are all starting to bloom. I love this little spot of roses dancing in the mint patch.

2024 week fourteen

My vogue rose. My darling.

A few years ago a student of mine gave me one of those random Christmas bulbs in a wax base. It never bloomed, but also never died. So last fall I planted it in our front yard and now it is about to bloom. Very exciting.

Friday night after school we went to Hickory Creek to camp with cousins.

Mostly the big kids stayed just by the water. It was so windy and lovely.

Little boy on the lake shore.

Also Theo's life was changed because Grandma showed him how to go spider sniffing and he caught a water bottle full of wolf spiders.

I was responsible for breakfast. We had breakfast burritos. Everything tastes better cooked over a campfire.

Wild romping gang of puppy children.

Thanks to Matt's ingenuity, our little car can handle pretty much anything.

Salem enjoying V's piano practice.

New bed vs old bed. The peas were planted on the same day. The ones on the left in the new bed are almost 4x the size of the old bed ones.

Fresh rose and mint tea from my garden.

Quotes

Theo while catching wolf spiders with Grandma at the campsite, "Oh we can't catch that spider because it's covered in babies. We have GOT to show Aunt Kaleigh because it's a mama with babies." Aunt Kaleigh has 2.5 babies so clearly that is the logical connection.
