V got to go to her first rodeo with Grandpa! 

2024 week four

Matt found a laser pointer in his office. Cat chaos has commenced. 

Our very pathetic looking garden bed has totally blown out on one side. 

Matt is trying out a new style of bed. He sunk in corner poles into two feet of concrete and is attaching the beds to hardware on the poles. Hopefully if a side ever blows out again, the design of this will allow us to more easily replace one side. 

Nearly done. We doubled the depth hoping that this will encourage water retention and strong roots. He lined the inside with corrugated metal to add further protection between the soil and the wood. We'll do this one bed for now and maybe later in the year work on the rest as they decompose. 

Finished! Now we just need to fill it up and it will be ready for planting.
