ELEVEN

We went through the kids closets this week and then went shopping for some things they need. Theo loved this blazer with a satin lapel and paid his own money for it. He wanted to pose at IKEA in his "Rockstar" jacket.

2023 week eleven

I was just trying to take photos of chairs to show Matt but the kids wouldn't stand for a photo that didn't feature them.

Goober.

The most beautiful magical backyard. Our friends were house sitting for a family member and we got to experience some of the magic for an afternoon.

The kids finally got to meet Mrs. Jones' babies. I loved how much they wanted to hold them and coo over them.

And Mrs. Jones so kindly gave me a box of my favorite tea for my birthday!

V had a few fun play dates over spring break. One friend helped her make a little loaf of bread.

When I went to check out at Calloways the cashier said, "Wow! You set the record for total for the day!" Hooray. Definitely a record I wanted to set...

Churros with Papa while waiting for new tires.

Matt gave me a few hours alone on Sunday to garden and have a little alone time for a pre birthday treat. They got tires and haircuts and went to fly the drone at a park.

Shed update. Matt was squished up behind the shed with a tiny cup of paint in 40 degrees all morning.

Quotes

Theodore

"I bet the Kirkland sign could do a little better on its logo. Maybe Papa could make them a better one."

"Beans beans the magical fruit, the more you eat the more you FART. The more you fart the better you feel the more you can go to the movie theater."

Spring Break was just one long errand and chore fest. Going back to work will feel like a vacation. Haha. It feels so good to have a refreshed and organized house, and a planted garden. Matt and I had a fancy dinner date to celebrate our birthdays early. We had friends over for St. Patrick's Day. We always relish our one night a year of corned beef and potatoes and cabbage. Our favorite though is the next morning when we have corned beef hash. I also made us a huge lasagna and delicious tiramisu for Sunday dinner.
