We tried to take some bluebonnet photos. It was just too bright.
2023 week twelve
I had a birthday this week and I received so many nice gifts and treats. My students' parents organized lunches for me every day and I was so spoiled. I really enjoyed this card from one of my students.
Then we got our class photos back and I was SO pleased. The office ladies said I won the prize for best teacher photo. Haha. I just took the advice Keely gave Rebecca on Ted Lasso for taking photos on the red carpet. It clearly worked.
Matt took a trip up to Missouri to help celebrate Travis' wedding.
Charles just creeping.
While Matt was out of town the kids wanted to do a sewing craft night.
We got a few yards of different patterns trying to find a good one for curtains. The losers got to become pillowcases.
Dress up week at school. Me and a student both dressed up from The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
Theo was Harry Potter.
And Veronica was the belle of the ball as The Headless Horseman. She is so cool.
Two of my lovely gifts from parents: a beautiful pot with an incredible tea.
Salem is unwillingly learning to play cards.
My coveralls after Matt finished painting the shed. They're so one of a kind now.
Shelves are up in the shed!
Matt created a little splash pad for the kids to trapeze through.
More bluebonnets.
I tried to teach them what Tyra taught us all in America's Next Top Model. You close your eyes, count to three and "fierce" eyes for a moment for the camera. My family couldn't handle it.
It was just too bright for them.
I love Theo's little outfit. He was so proud he said, "I look just like a gentleman in a movie. I have a shirt and tie and sweater and rockstar jacket." Then he did his hair as carefully as he possible could.
We finally found some rugs we like for our hallway. We love them.
Quotes:
Veronica, "If I went tooth and claw against it, I would destroy it."
