FORTY-SEVEN

 

The much-anticipated Medieval Times field trip finally arrived. V had just the best time and for the teachers there were very few hiccups so Huzzah! 

2022 week forty-seven

Mrs. Krycho and me. Miss Meskill was a few rows back. 

The night of the field trip, Matt and I went to a concert in Deep Ellum. It was exactly my kind of concert (other than being on a Thursday). Small. Seated. Chill music. Perfect. 

Saturday morning our family was joined by Grandma and Grandpa (and then some cousins) for the reptile convention in Grapevine. V has been saving up for almost a year to buy a crested gecko. 

There were so many amazing reptiles and other small creatures to look at. 

Then Theo found the gem and fossils table and we weren't allowed to leave. The man at the booth was very excited by Theo's enthusiasm and told him he could evaluate gems for a career. We may have a mineralogist on our hands. He walked away with a cute little fish fossil in sandstone. 

V went home with this little cutie. His/her name is Mango. And it is just the cutest. 

V is obsessed and so happy.

Smoke Sunday continues with ribs to celebrate Matt's dad's birthday. His brother Jacob and family also is in town for Thanksgiving and joined us.

Me- "Anchovy pasta."

Me- "And steamed broccoli."

V- "YAY!!!!"

T -"Imagine I had so much toots that the room filled up with so much pressure that it busted the windows."

One morning this week, Theo enlisted help from one of the staff members to make me a surprise cup of tea. I found out later that he also made one for his teacher. This is the conversation they had.

Miss C -"Theo, thank you so much. How did you know mint tea was my favorite?"

T- "All women like mint tea."
