V made a savannah diorama for school and got to present about it on her birthday. 

2022 week eighteen

Theo's rock tumbler finally finished after the month long wait. He is so pleased with all his beautiful rocks.

Happy Birthday Bug! For V's birthday we decided to give her the 4th Harry Potter book a year earlier than we had planned. Matt was worried she wouldn't think it would be that great of a present, but as soon as we got to school she plopped herself behind my desk and cracked it open. 

Later, I spied her in the gym reading it again. When she used some of her amazon birthday money later in the week to buy a pair of Heelys I asked if there was anything else she wanted. She said, "I got everything I could ever imagine I would want on my birthday. I couldn't want anything more!" She is such a delight. 

V had Colonial Days at school on Friday. She wrote this note to Theo with a quill pen.

Theo and V felt that their lives were complete this week when Uncle Jacob and Aunt Kaleigh brought their baby to see us. V was in love with taking care of him and Theo would do anything to make him laugh. 

They are such good big cousins. 

Theo found this beautiful Black Swallowtail caterpillar. 

On Sunday we had our Cinco de Mayo nacho party a bit early -Uno de Mayo. 

The make-your-own nacho bar with the Raclette is such a fun tradition.
