SIX

 

On Tuesday we celebrated Lunar New Year with a feast from the best Chinese food in the area: China Island Grill. We wont eat anywhere else now and we always get too excited and over order and enjoy it for the rest of the week. Which means we are never sad. 

2022 week six

It snowed, so school closed for two days. And that is everything that happened. 

Chickens in the snow. 

The kids call it getting a blessing from Salem when they approach him and he touches their forehead with his nose.

We got to have a few of the cousins come stay with us for a few days during the surprise long weekend. V took every opportunity to bust out the face paints. 

She painted herself as Darth Maul from her own memory. 

Skateboard deck + rope = sled. 

The ice-snow was too hard for making snow angels. They had to wait until it started to melt to get any traction. 

The chickens coop door froze shut. So that was fun.

"It's frozen stick!" Instead of frozen shut I guess. 

"In the morning can I have a biscotti and some coffee so I can have more energy to play in the snow all day?" Said to me in his loudest volume at his fastest tempo at 8 pm. No. You have enough. God gave you coffee instead of blood.

"Ugh! I have no interest in Tuesdays!" Tuesdays are long days at our house and they ruffle her every week.

"Miss Cardinal (a bird) always has lipstick on no matter how much she kisses her babies." We have fun watching the birds come to the bird feeder and making up stories about them.
