2022 week three

The kids got Covid and have been home "sick" all week. I say "sick" because they feel totally fine and have just been running amok while Matt and I work.

I've gotten into a nice rhythm with this bread recipe. I can make it as quickly or as slowly as I like -provided I always start it the day before. It's a lovely recipe thats somewhere between conventional and sourdough and it yields this lovely texture EVERY SINGLE TIME. 

It's referred to as "the good bread" in our house.

Last Christmas my kindergarten class gave me this orchid. I thought it was close to death in my house over the summer but when I moved it to my new classroom it leaped to life. It currently has 6 blossoms, and 8 more buds in addition to a second stalk. It is so happy and I love to see it every day.
