What 2020 really needed was a cat shelf. We highly recommend.

Theo makes the cutest crafts at his school. I'm so impressed with the fun things he brings home. This frog hat made us laugh so much.

For family date night the kids were obsessed with the notion of getting sushi. They had only ever had it once but didn't remember it. They were literally bouncing off the walls chanting sushi, sushi, sushi! They were in no way disappointed. They loved it.

Theo had no problems eating, but V struggled with the chopsticks and shed a few tears. She pushed through the struggle and ate so much sushi.

We have neighbors who have a problem keeping their 3 big dogs in their house. Last Saturday I took the trash out and the Rottweiler was out, barking at a different neighbor's door. When it saw me from across the street, it ran at me barking. I ran inside screaming. It had almost bit me. I told Matt who grabbed his cell phone and our piñata bat. He told me later what happened next: (he wrote this)
I went in the front yard but didn't see the dog. I walked to this house where the dogs lived and tried to get their attention but didn't get a response. Then I saw the Rottweiler and pitbull turn the corner one house away. I pulled his phone out to call animal control while I followed them since the dogs were aggressive that day. When I turned the corner I heard people screaming and saw that the dogs had run a block and were attacking another dog in the street while that dog's owner stood there watching their dog get attacked. I ran the block & hit the pitbull across the back as hard as I could. As I was about to hit it again the pitbull looked up, decided it didn't want more, and ran off toward home with the Rottweiler. The English bulldog that'd been attacked got up and ran after them. I thought they'd get into another fight so I ran after the 3 dogs. Luckily the attack dogs ran home and the bulldog just ran away. At this point I called 911 and realized my bat had had the last 4 inches snapped off when I hit the dog. Police and animal control arrived, took the dogs, and took statements from me, a truck that saw the whole thing, and the owners of the dog which was attacked.

I love when I get to see little snapshots of Theo's day at school.

I let the kids pick out their own Christmas pajamas this year. This is the pair Veronica chose. Once she saw them she said very decidedly, "I want the Hanukkah ones." She's such a funny little thing.
