THIRTY-SEVEN

Pumpkins have appeared in our grocery store. The kids decorated theirs with googly eyes and markers. Theo always draws "rosy cheeks" on his people and it is just the cutest thing.

2020 week thirty-seven

On Monday Matt took the kids to meet up with all the cousins at a new to us swimming area.

They were there for hours moving rocks up and down stream and making dams and general merrymaking.

A friend donated some of their leftover sand and now our box is deep and full and Theo wasted not a moment before diving right in.

I don't know why Matt took this photo, but here we all are.
Theo and the worst ice cream in the car form ever. It was melting faster than he could eat it which was making him angry so he just stopped trying. The ice cream got everywhere and he started yelling at us about how we shouldn't EVER FORCE him to eat ice cream again. We will happily oblige...

Little did they know, this was their last afternoon in a shared room. We sent them to Grandmas for a long weekend while Matt and I worked past midnight and all day for two days to rearrange the three back rooms.

V got the former sewing and play room and a new book shelf and a canopy over her bed.

Their room became the new office, sewing and guest room.

And Theo got the former office with a big new bed.

V wasted no time acting immediately like a moody teenager and posting polite keep away signs.

V made a new friend at her new school (where I'm working) and they planned to match their outfits and hair the next day.

Quotes:

Me, "It's really amazing how few actors went on to do things after Harry Potter."
Matt, "Like Malfoy."
Me, "Yeah and Neville."
Matt, "And Snape..."
Me, "MATT! Too soon!"
Matt, evil laughter
