THIRTY-TWO

Matthew poured the largest anthill this week. It's so big we don't even know what to do with it.
Matthew poured the largest anthill he's ever done this week. It is so big we don't even know what to do with it.

2020 week thirty-two
While Matt was setting up his aluminum forge the kids made some friends and played in the creek...

And in the barn.

With the friends, and Aunt Larissa.

Theo and Veronica have been working all summer to memorize 50 poems. We took a video of them saying all their poems and then they each got a prize. Theo went straight to Walmart to get a fireman Lego set, and V ordered a stuffed Hobbes tiger.

I love how wild and drippy our hand-dipped candles look when they burn.

Saturday morning bug catching with Papa.

Matthew finally got to finish a bug frame that he's always wanted: A cicada and a cicada killing Wasp.

The kids and cousins made fairy houses in our yard this week, with charming rock paths, and Eeyore style stick walls.

Matt led candle dipping part two with the cousins and Uncle Sam while I was at work this week.

We finally decided on a name for our snake: Funyun.

Wearing a mustache at Uncle Sam's surprise birthday party this week.

Our silly fruit platter for the mustache party.

Quotes:

Me- "How did you guys like watching Where the Red Fern Grows?
V- "I like it a lot. But it was kind of a little sad."
kind of a little sad indeed.

Here are the videos of our kids reciting 50 poems. They are long videos, beware.
