Matt's dad built us the coolest Alamo hide for our snake. He loves it so much we rarely ever see him anymore.
Just some Sunday morning bug catching. Look at the size of the wasp in Veronica's box.
After several months of building, the kids finally finished the 3,600 piece Lego Bugatti Chiron. They are so pleased. Matt has filmed every minute of the 22+ hours of build. If you want to watch two wiggly kids build the biggest lego set in real time his channel is called Building with Buddy on YouTube.
Vera has reignited her archery love and has been practicing a lot more. She's also been practicing the piano on her own. Grandma brought her a beginners piano book and after a few minutes of instructions, left her to it. She was so determined that she sat at that piano for hours a day this week until she could play every song in the book. It also has duets in the later pages for us to play together and she really likes that.
More legos. Theo put the finishing touches on our summertime lego set this week: The Batcave. He immediately dismantled it for all the cool pieces.
Veronica, queen of cats, with her royal subject Peewee (our neighbors cat). Poor thing can't come into our yard without being pounced on by this one.
Matt brought home 75 lbs of beeswax pellets. Sunday morning I decided to try my hand at dipped candles. The kids got to help me make a few as well. Our first several attempts are so misshapen they look more like Halloween props. I don't mind though. All I basically want is for my kitchen to look like a witches hut with bundles of herbs and peppers and handmade candles hanging from the ceiling.
Warty witch finger candle.
Theo and Bridget.
