2020 week thirty-three

Theo is always finding and catching new critters to bring into the house to show me. It's fun to see all the biodiversity that can be found in our little suburban neighborhood. This morning V spied a Mockingbird eating our beauty berries. 

It's been hot this week and we haven't wanted to go anywhere or do anything, so V has been having me experiment with different hairstyles. Dutch braids work the best for milkmaid braids we decided. It gives a nice plump braid to tuck the ends under.

Theo was running around the house closing all the blinds in the middle of the day. Then he yelled, "Goodnight Veronica!" Then he loudly whispered, "Say goodnight so the snake will think it's nighttime and come out!"

Veronica

A lot of sass has been coming out of this one lately. She was really excited, however, to find out that her 2nd grade teacher is also named Veronica. We went to meet the teacher and V made her a card and a bead necklace. I'm glad she's so excited.
