THIRTY-FOUR

Sometimes my kids capture the neighbors cat and take selfies with him. 

We're hoping the neighbors forget about Peewee and we can just keep him. 

Though he is probably happier not living with us. :) 

V had her first day of school this week. 

Because I am working on campus now, she got to have her first day in an actual classroom. 

Veronica found this old head scarf at grandma's house and rediscovered it this week. She has slept in it, "This can be my nightcap!" or just worn it around the house like a little Sofia Loren. 

She finishes her school work after a couple hours and spends the rest of the day spends playing around my classroom. She was very proud of this robin she drew on the board. His eyes look like all of our eyes trying to navigate virtual learning this first week. 

She also takes some selfies when I take a quick trip to the bathroom.

Matt and I went on a date on Friday to celebrate the milestone of a double-income household and went to the second hand movie store. We found a copy of The Cat Returns and watched it as a family Saturday morning. V dressed as a cat for the rest of the weekend. 

Matt thinks it's funny to take silly photos of me. He also thinks it's silly when I wear heels to mix dough. However, it gives me better leverage so whatever.

Veronica

V- "Of course they want to live in Texas. Texas is the best place ever."

Me- "But Texas doesn't have any mountains and I really miss the mountains."

V- "Ok, well even without mountains Texas is the best because there's hot barbecue and good chicken everywhere!"
