EIGHT

Last weekend was a taste of early summer. My kids played outside (mostly unclothed) from morning until night.

2020 week eight

I sat outside reading magazines and having coffee and cheesecake.

Evidence of extreme fun found in the tub after Sunday night bath...

Morning preparations photo taken by Theo.

Goofball.

I looked out the window at a school where I was subbing and spotted some inspirations for nightmares.

Thursday I made 150 cupcakes for cub scouts Blue and Gold but accidentally ended up with 180. So we had a lot of spare cupcakes. Which was a good thing because they were some of the best I'd made. I wish there were more. I want one now.

Preparations almost complete for Blue and Gold.

Saturday was just a Mama Vera day because Matt and Theo went on an adventure with some friends. They went to watch these crazy vehicles climb mountains. Very manly. V cried about being left behind until I explained what they were going to go do, then she decided errands would be more fun.

All the blondie boys.

V thought Luna needed more bling in her life. So she added a Pocahontas necklace.

Quotes:

Veronica

"A teacher came into my class to talk to my teacher and before she left she said, 'Veronica Cole looks super cute today.' And my teacher said. 'And she's a smart muffin." She knew my first and last name and my teacher said I was a smart muffin in front of everyone!" *beams with pride*

V walks into the front room on Friday after school, takes off her pants and loudly declares, "The weekend starts NOW!"

Theodore

"I have a great idea. What if I grew up to be a witch! Kids can grow up to be whatever they want to be if it's a human. And witches ARE HUMAN!"

*Singing to the tune Mary had a Little Lamb* "I can never take a nap, take a nap, take a nap. I can never take a nap, never take a nap!"

"I need to empty this boot. There are too many things in here. Like woodchips and I found a bead at school and wanted to save it for home so I put it in my boot."

I found Theo standing in the bathroom sink stomping out water as fast as he could onto the floor as though he were in a grape-stomping competition. So much water.
