THIRTY-SIX

Last Sunday was a Grandma Day/Sleepover! The kids firmly believe that a Grandma day is not complete without, 1. Shows. 2. Park time. 3. Chick-fil-A. She never disappoints.

2019 week thirty-six

Sweet Papa-Buddy moment.

Theo and a friend wearing bear hats and playing blocks.

Happy boy after pre-k pick up. We stopped at Chick fil A for some lemonade and fries because V got to go home and eat dinner at a friends house that day.  She was so excited to "eat dinner there without her family." She was having a real Anne of Green Gables and the spare room moment.

This boy and his puzzles. He is so determined and motivated to figure out puzzles or build intricate vehicles with legos. I love how he can sit down and put it all together correctly and neither wants nor requires much help at all. Puzzle master.

V's headshot for her Nutcracker audition.

I unfortunately took 6 photos like this before getting anything close to usable. She is a goof ball but has her own determined streak. She is constantly thinking and creating in her mind and then she heads to the craft table and makes what it was that she imagined. She is very motivated to carry out her dreams even if the attempts end up in tears frequently. There are usually various containers of "potions" left in my freezer or garden.

When we were grocery shopping, we ran into Santa! V was so nervous to ask if it was actually him since he doesn't cut quite the same figure in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts. But he winked at her and said she didn't need to ask. He handed her his business card and said, "Only 108 days until Christmas." We all could have melted at that moment. She was so excited and I was near tears at the special moment for her. Unfortunately his business card has his phone number on it and she's already pestering me to call him.

Quotes

Theo and Vera

When I was little we would say "Infinity" to be the most ridiculous outlandishly huge number imaginable, my kids say "100 Google!" "What if I had 100 Google tomatoes in my mouth!?" "What if we could jump for 100 Google?" etc.
