THIRTY-THREE

Oh what a week! V started her first day of 1st grade.

2019 week thirty-three

And Matt's youngest brother Sam got married to Larissa!

We all looked pretty fancy for a while even taking photos in 100 degree heat.

I made the wedding cake. It requires a lot of eggs to make enough cake and toppings for a wedding.

Here is their gluten-free three tiered vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream. Regular vanilla sheet cake for the guests. We had topping options at every table. You could adorn your cake with raspberry sauce, vanilla custard, and/or chocolate ganache. The raspberry was my personal favorite, but there were so many delicious treats and food that my dress prohibited me from eating more than a bite or two of my cake.

Matt conveniently placed our children at the grandparents table and quickly filled up our table.

Bouquet toss.

Veronica dancing with Uncle Sam.

Theo dancing with new Aunt Larissa.

V and a cute baby cousin.

And as if a week of wedding prep and back to school wasn't enough! We were outside Walmart selling Scout Popcorn Sunday morning.

Theo amused himself by drinking is water like this.

We got home so late from the wedding and so instead of individual songs, I sang a nice bedtime song to both kids at the same time. They were less than pleased...

Quotes

I only have a few from Veronica this week

When trying to convince Grandma to stay to dinner at our house, "But my mama is the BEST chef you know!"

At the wedding, "I'm excited to try the cake. Usually cakes are gross but since you made them I will actually like them. Maybe other people wont because they usually like gross cakes."

She's been very complimentary toward my cooking lately. :)

"I think the first day and second day of school are hard for kids. They just want to stay home with their mamas. It will get better." So wise and introspective.
