FIFTY

Matthew added some dry ice to a bath for the kids. They were thrilled initially but then started to panic. They liked it better when he put the ice in the toilet and they could watch it from a distance.

2017 week fifty

We went to Barnes & Noble and found Matthew's book on the shelf! I am so proud of him. I reminded him of a conversation we had years ago about what if someone bought his drawings and published them and we could go into a store and find it on the shelves. He told me not to get ahead myself. Well, this prophetess was thrilled to see her husband's hard work in print for sale. 

I had a *brush*  with fame myself. Ha. Matt took some of my cookies into work and they were featured in an ad and on their instagram. It was fun to see. 

About once a year I drum up the energy to make my own wonton soup. I love it so much. I also tried my hand at tea eggs, but since I'm not sure how they are supposed to taste, I'm not sure how they turned out. Lightly spiced over cooked eggs...

We had a hot day followed by a light freeze followed by a warm day. My potato plants didn't make it so we had to harvest early. We got enough to use in two different dinners.

V -"That was funny. Write that down."
