And Vera baby was such a champ. She slept in her car seat and then in my arms the entire time. Hooray for newborns.
Most of our days was spent around the house catching up on sleep and some minor chores, but on Saturday we took advantage of the glorious weather and went on a walk on one of the long trails in the area.
That little bump on my chest is a baby. She's so little. We spent a good deal of time at the pond looking at all the different ducks and birds and turtles. We saw a sunning turtle no bigger than a quarter. It was darling.
This was the only photo taken of Husband from the entire trip. Other things we did while Lauren was here include gardening, sleeping, watching a ridiculous Nick Cage movie called "Next", changing a million diapers, cooking, making salsa and cookies, running small errands and eating at a tasty pizza restaurant. And of course, we introduced her to the magic of Braums with their frozen yogurt cones and their cherry limeades.
It was so nice to have Lauren here. Baby girl loved her and she was such a help to us. Plus it is just so fun to visit with her. Let's not wait another year before we see you again, ok? And next time we'll take you to eat some fried alligator, and some crawfish -Texas style.

The picture of her in that cardigan... I am dying!
ReplyDeleteI miss you guys already. I am so, so glad I got to come visit.
Veronica is unreal, I want to kiss her cute face! I'm so glad you and dear Rudy had a good time together, I wish that we all lived closer together.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course you watched a terrible Nick Cage movie.
That bottom picture is so adorable! I think she looks just like you.
