TWENTY-EIGHT

Summer is for wild boys, dogs, and bugs.

2024 week twenty-eight

A Cicada killer wasp that Theo caught. He's been dying to catch one and they've only just started to appear this year. That is Matt's thumb for scale.

Balloon birthday present for a cousin.

Theo's model WWI airplanes finally were hung above his bed.

Contraband dragonfly. I have a very strict no catching bees or dragonflies rule.

On Thursday, V went in to get her tonsils out. She was so happy to finally be rid of them.

She brought Stephanie the Giraffe for support. Once she was gowned up, I think she got a bit nervous. She's been healing well. She has an appetite (and an attitude now that she's feeling better but we're making her rest as the doctor ordered), and has been taking long naps, and (her favorite) having endless popsicles and shows.

Matt and I finishing up digging the trench in the front yard for our french drain. I would like to formally submit that digging might be the hardest activity -especially digging in the summer, in Texas, in our dried out clay soil.
