FIFTY-TWO

2023 week fifty-two

Cousin play time in the leaves.

Theo had fun with some class mates at a basketball camp this week.

Matt and I spent the week after Christmas finishing yard projects. I dug out and made a path for our back gate. I had to make sure it was perfectly level and too small for a cat to squeeze under the back fence.

Then I had to shovel out all the excess dirt behind our back fence after the fence build and the path digging. I moved all the dirt in front of the shed to level out the ground there.

Matt using my anniversary gift to him to help him hold tools while he worked.

Matt spent the break building a lean-to for our bikes on the side of the house. Before from the front.

After. Pictured here is also V's Christmas gift. She chose to buy a can crusher with some of her Christmas amazon money. Yes. A can crusher. She loves it.

Before from the back yard.

After with all our bikes inside.

Theo disappeared for a while and I found him in the coat closet making a list of all the movies we have that he wants to watch. Most of these he will have to wait a good 20 years for...goodness.

Our lovely city hosted a Christmas tree mulching event this year. You can drop off the tree at your leisure and bring a bag and shovel to bring home a bag of mulch.

Cute Mango resting on a leaf.

Grandpa came over a few times to play board games with the kids this week.

Matt hung up V's new archery target on the back fence.

We went ice skating!

The kids did so much better this year. I did get a random bloody nose and Theo did get his fingers run over when he fell and that was tough for him but he continued skating a bit to end the trip on a brave note.
