FORTY-ONE

My students have started making me bouquets from the wild flowers around the playground. I don't usually endorse picking wild flowers but they are being so creative and sweet it's hard for me to ask them to stop.

2023 week forty-one

The weather has been lovely and we've been able to eat outside.

This photo makes me mad because he thought he was being sooooo funny just rubbing a popsicle on his face for a laugh while just making a dumb mess. However, I'm trying to exercise laughing when I want to be fuming mad, so, in the spirit of this experiment I am posting this photo. Look at silly Theodore.

Writing Thank You cards from his birthday party.

Friday was a half day for the kids and Theo got to go home with his friend. He had such a good time he tried to hide when I came to pick him up.

V got to go to the arboretum with her friends and take cute photos in the pumpkins.

All week long Matt was in Chicago finally getting to meet his coworkers.

He had so much fun getting to finally spend time with them and explore Chicago.

Matt posing next to a display he designed.

An early morning run through the city.

Good morning Chicago.

Texting Mrs. Jones about tea. :)

Saturday morning scout activities for the annular eclipse!

Scout skits at the camp fire. It was so lovely and cool and even though Theo woke up at 6 am literally buzzing with excitement, it was a great camp out. Theo was bouncing in his sleeping bag humming the marching song from The Music Man in the predawn light because it was his 8th birthday!

For Theo's birthday he wanted to rearrange his room. After bagels for breakfast we went to IKEA to look for shelves and a desk. We took a lunch break and he asked for a big plate of smoked salmon. He ate all of it, and then my meatballs and mashed potatoes.

For dinner the boy wanted sushi as usual.

Grandma and Grandpa joined us for dinner.

Theo did not want cake for his birthday. He just wanted a bowl of raspberries with a candle in it. Happy 8th birthday my boy.

We all missed Matthew when he was gone, even Sgt. Pickles.

Quotes

Me- "Theo, gentlemen don't talk like that."
T- "I'm not a gentleman! I'm an aggressive-man!"
