THIRTY-EIGHT

Beautiful Texas storm.

2023 week thirty-eight

Salem makes an excellent secretary.

The back fence comes down -and so does my poor honeysuckle.

Theo reciting a poem in class.

On Saturday morning, Matt and I flew off to California to watch my brother Jared get married.

They got married in one of the most beautiful little corners of Northern California.

I met the fireplace of my dreams.

Aundie looked like a Dryad who had just stepped out of the river.

We were so happy to celebrate Jared and Aundie.

I gave a short toast.

We were a little off the time zone so we woke up around 6:30 and we were the only ones on the property awake. We walked down to the river and up a hill in the drizzly beautiful morning. I didn't have proper rain gear so my scarf had to suffice.

Most of the wedding guests stayed the night in tents.

The landscape was just stunning.

On our way back up to the airport we stopped at the Rogue Creamery to try one of the World's Best Cheeses. I am already a fan of bleu cheese but this was unlike any bleu cheese I have ever had. Even Matt -a certified bleu cheese hater- was blown away. We brought some back for ourselves and for our friends who were watching our kids for the weekend. It was the perfect end to a lovely weekend.
