THIRTY-TWO

 

Bat tag. During the last few days of summer  they got really creative to keep each other occupied.

2023 week thirty-two

Last Day of Summer Lunch. Matt asked them where they wanted to go and suggested they pick somewhere Mama would never take them. McDonalds it is!

I don't even know. 

First day of 2nd and 5th grade! They are walking with Matt in the mornings this year to sleep in a little later. 

Back to School sushi! I was just melted after the 115 degree carline so we finally gave in to Theo's begging and went to sushi! 

We love HERE sushi. It might not be the most authentic, but we've never had anything even remotely close to sub par. This is a photo of Theo suffering because we made him eat a whole plate of sweet and sour chicken before he could touch the sushi or he would have inhaled all of it. 

I love being able to sneak a peak at Theo during the day. I really miss being able to do so with Veronica now that she's up in the Middle School building. :(

Finally, Tom Thumb knows what the people want for breakfast. :) 

It was fence demo weekend. Matt and our neighbor Guillermo and a few other muscles we could rope into digging, dismantled the fence, jacked out the old posts, dug new post holes, and set the first pole. It was also 112 degrees and I could not supply them with enough gatorade. 

The first and most difficult pole to set. Somehow they were able to perfectly squeeze it into the corner by the chicken coop. Well done. 

This little adolescent possum has been poking around our house this week. I saw him when I went out for a run in the morning and a few mornings later when I went out to feed the chickens.

When I tried to kiss Theo at school "No! You're going to intoxicate me again!" 

I asked him later what he thought "intoxicating" meant. "When you put something in your body that is toxic." He's not too far off, but I asked him to not use that word in public because it means something quite different.
