My favorite thing about Cabo is being able to be alone for hours on end to read. My favorite thing about my kids being as old as they are is that they don't get injured or do dumb things while I'm reading.
Luckily Grandpa Dean has a high tolerance for repeated rounds of card games. It helps enable my reading. Theo was the master and kept beating him over and over.
Theo, Matt and I all got to sleep outside every night. V was too delicious to the bugs and she had to be kept locked up at night.
Crab hunting.
Grandpa Dean's patient and snuggly dog Ponga.
Theo and Matt had SO. Much. Texture. in their hair after several days in the salty air.
Evening walk to the beach.
I loved this shot of the waves just breaching their sand fort.
We got two gorgeous nights of the almost full/full moon.
Nighttime hermit crab hunting. We lost our own net and Grandpa Deans net by the second day.
Poor V is always nibbled on by some bug or other. This trip her eyes swelled up so much.
Everyone got a new hat when we arrived. Theo picked this one out and he was so proud of it. He rarely took it off.
Hermit crab shirt decorations.
The best Baja activity. I found a copy of Hunger Games on the shelf and gave it to V. We didn't see her for two days, she was lost in Panem.
Matt caught a Hogfish for us. We enjoyed it for dinner that night.
Theo elected to tote all the hats home in the airport.
I'm really not sure what this sign is supposed to be indicating. Do Not Use Toilet as Cauldron for Casting Spells, Witch ? Most likely.
Salem was so excited to see us. V immediately put him in an 18th century shift.
We watched the Hunger Games movie on Friday and V requested the braid the next day. She spent all day shooting her bow and asking if she could be allowed to shoot squirrels. Nope.
Quotes:
Veronica
"Sand is really just dry snow." As she tries to throw a sand ball at me.
Theodore
"I would do ANYTHING for my beloved fruit."
Describing one of this imaginary friends "It's a camel... with a top hat on his head. And another top hat on his hump."
Me- "Gross, you're as sweaty as sin." T- "You must be a sin if you know how sweaty they are... But I am WAY more sweaty than sin."
Matt made this really cool video from drone shots he took during our stay in Cabo. Enjoy!
