Theo's birthday morning started with a bike ride to the donut store. |
2022 week forty-two
Grandma came over for the very balanced breakfast Theo requested: bacon, sausage, and donuts. |
That afternoon Theo had a Lego party. We borrowed a baby pool and filled it with all the Legos we owned for the kids to swim in and build with. |
Then there was pizza and Lego cookie decorating. |
Everyone's favorite party game: catch the chicken for a prize. The prizes this year were whoopie cushions. |
Theo requested Mc Donalds for dinner mostly just to see me upset. The kids played hard on the play place. V kept hiding and calling to me from cracks. All we could see were her shiny eyes and shiny teeth. |
The only photo from our double date with Mrs. Jones at Eataly. I couldn't leave without pasta and chocolate. Ashely snapped this photo because I looked a little crazy. |
Bonus photo for science: a once meat sandwich from the FIRST week of school that was found in a cubby this week. It's fascinating and horrifying. |
Quotes:
One of Theo's gifts he received was a shovel set, upon opening it he said, "Wow! Emma! I really needed a new shovel!" Later that night he said, "That was just SUCH a good gift."
Our little sassifrass really pulls out the grateful when he gets gifts. He kept muttering to himself all day, "I don't think Grandpa should have given me such a good gift (foreign paper money and coins)!" or "How could Oma even know how much I wanted an Ant Farm?!" or "These gifts are too good. An abalone shell? I don't even think I should keep this."
So precious! Happy Birthday Theo! Love, love, love ...
