THIRTY-FIVE

 

We all felt a great relief this week when we finally got some rain. The kids came home and ran straight outside into the mud. 

2022 week thirty-five

Theo caught a rather cute little friend this week. I love to see how much this boy loves creatures. 

Sometimes he's less understanding of what the creatures love though...

It's birthday season again, so we're back at the trampoline park every couple weeks. 

We have a new bug frame courtesy of Theo and friends who send us bugs in the mail. :) 

On Saturday night we had a "Dinner with the Beavers" dinner. Costco had the most beautiful trout so we grilled them whole with mustard and oats to have with our potatoes and bread and butter. 

I had almost forgotten about the sticky marmalade roll, but luckily Veronica reminded me before it was too late. We rounded out our meal with my first ever steamed pudding (it definitely leaked and exploded but was still fantastic) and cups of tea (dandelion, because those kids need to go to bed.)

Scouts really fired V up to exercise. She came home and did fifty sit ups. 

Sunday night dinner was Korean bbq beef tacos on asian cole slaw and lemongrass cucumbers. We rounded out our weekend with TWO dessert nights and had mango sticky rice while we watched an episode of the old Sabrina the Teenage Witch together.
