TEN

Dressing up the Prince Tenderlins in all his finery.

2022 week ten

After the flu ripped through the kids it settled on me. I spent three days shivering and aching. By Wednesday I was well enough to go back to school, but as soon as I made it home I laid myself on the couch and didn't move for the rest of the evening. Luckily Matthew never quite seemed to catch it so he took good care of us. Even after a week, I am getting tired out quite easily.

In one of the rare moments of energy, I took an old pair of Matthew's dad's suit pants and brought in the waist to fit me.

Now I have some awesome old suit pants.

On Saturday, the garden demanded to be planted and I pushed through and got it all taken care of. Unfortunately, by 2pm my body was just done. So I had to stay at home while the kids and Matt went to a fun swimming birthday party for our dear friend's little girl who we used to watch in our house.

It's so nice that our kids can fully swim on their own now. Next stop: driving the car and doing the grocery shopping for me.

Quotes:

Veronica

"I will revenge you with giraffe sizzles!"

Theo

While watching The Parent Trap for family movie, T- "What is this place?"
Me- "London."
T- "Can we visit that place someday?"
Me- "Yes."
T- "It just looks so fashionable!"

Matthew

Me- "Ugh. I'm looking at all that I have to do today and my energy is just drip, drip, dripping away."
Matt- "You just need to pick, pick, pick your [booty] up and do it."
Me- "Why are you so mean? After all I do to -All I do FOR- you?"
Matt- "Yeah, you were right the first time. Do to me." *sips coffee sassily.*
