NINE

"Look at this distinguished gentleman and his garnishes." She couldn't remember the word for "accessory" and I think garnishes is even better.

2022 week nine

Some virus hit our house. It got Theo first on Thursday when we had an impromptu "Ice Day" in North Texas and the schools shut down.

When V and I went to school on Friday, he slept the entire day. Salem was so happy to have a warm buddy that didn't move all day.

After weeks of begging, I finally agreed to cut bangs for V. We didn't get a cute photo before sickness struck her too.

Here she is, charming and miserable, in her little giraffe suit. If you're wondering if my kids ever wear anything other than their giraffe or Pikachu suit, the answer is: "Not unless forced."

I made biscuits to try to raise moral, but they got a little out of hand.

This is a first for us. Apparently it was very very cold in the hen house.

Window love notes when you have a son...

And here we are before the sickness took me, making tortellini and enjoying some cassatelle (fried sweet ricotta pastries) and dandy blend coffee.

 Quotes

Veronica

All I have is that Veronica calls Salem "Tenderlins" when he's being cute or referring to his legs. As in, "Look at the sweet tenderlins."
