FIVE

Theo drew this picture for Matt. It's a bouquet of flowers on a table and Theo thinking about how happy Papa will be to receive the flowers. This boy has such a good heart.

2021 week five

Found: Lego plunger.

I had to take the kids grocery shopping with me, so to make it fun, we bought a sampling of every type of citrus the store had. A few weeks ago a friend came over and saw our overflowing basket of citrus and asked if I had something in particular planned for all of the citrus. No, this is just how much fruit my kids eat. The entire basket (minus perhaps the grapefruit) will be gone before Friday.

On Family Date night this week we took the kids and their bikes on a new trail. Matt needed to try the baby balance bike for himself and it was just the funniest thing.

The many shades of George Washington.

The kids used their balloons from the grocery store as owls for the rest of the day, delivering letters to each other's rooms and yelling- in very poor British accents, "Bring me back my letter Errol! Hedwig! Send this quick!"

While Matt was gone this weekend, I let these two goblins sleep in my bed. We loved snuggling close in the middle of the night, but I didn't love that they kept wanting to wake up at 530am.

Quotes

Theodore

Matt sometimes makes ads for a company that turns old Tshirts into quilts, Theo suggested to him that they could make one out of old underwear too.

"You can't throw a person away!"

"You can't marry your mom because then she won't look good and pretty in the wedding."

"You're just hilarious." Theo thinks this is a really rude thing to say to a person, so naturally he says it to Veronica frequently.

Veronica

Veronica basically just wants to discuss the finer points of Harry Potter endlessly these days.

She also has discovered that she really loves teaching herself piano. Unfortunately for us, she got on a Christmas song kick and that's basically all we hear. We bought her a Disney piano songs book to expand her repertoire but when she gets frustrated she starts pounding out We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Whichever adult is closest will yell, "NO MORE CHRISTMAS!"

In her spare time, V walks around loudly (and rather off key) humming all the Harry Potter music. We love her, but we've had just about enough. :)
