| Veronica and her friend playing "Ballet Class" V was correcting her posture and foot positions and it's clear her ballet teacher has told her a number of times how to correct her positions. :) |
2020 week twenty-seven
| After Ballet class everyone went outside to dig a mud pit booby trap and then to play getting caught in it. |
| The cousins let us use their pool while they were out of town. My kids took full advantage of it. |
| Taking a long break from dance has reignited her love for it. Tap and Ballet this summer have been such fun for her again. |
| I got new glasses. And at my appointment, my grandmotherly Endocrinologist walked into the room wearing the exact same pair. |
| Matt and Gary finishing off the last load of clearing out the warehouse of Ruby Red. |
| We got this beautiful orange King snake on Father's Day as a class pet for my classroom this fall. He bit everyone. Got himself stuck to double-sided tape, wouldn't eat, and then escaped. He is somewhere in our house though we've cleaned every inch of it top to bottom (a fortunate side effect of losing a snake in your house). |
| So... we got this super vanilla Ball python instead. He's timid and not bitey. And if the orange one shows up, not dead, he'll be going back to Petco. |
| A lovely hobbit dinner this week. |
| A friend hosted a small Hamilton viewing party, and made really fun signs for all her tasty foods. |
| My favorite one, not pictured was for the knives and napkins labeled, "Best of Knives and best of Linen." Perfect. Watching Hamilton with a room of devoted fans was so fun. It was the perfect way to start off the Independence Day weekend. Nothing has been able to stir up patriotism into my shriveled up heart more than Hamilton. |
| He's always moving. |
| Hot hot July 4th morning started with melting aluminum to cast ant hills. Grandma had three big ones in her backyard. |
| One of the anthills fresh from the ground. |
| Mounted. |
| The entire evening was spent in the pool. No one was asleep before 10 pm. And everyone had the best time. |
| See? It ended with rather dangerous fireworks and an even later night for all the adults. |
| V has spent most of the week rolling down our hall on this old skateboard. This girl is obsessed with wheeled boards. Luna, is not as into it. |
| Sunday morning was greeted by this perfect 7-year-old missing tooth grin. She pushed it out herself after all the day before of everyone trying to pull it out for her. |
| Lovely rainy Sunday morning. |
Quotes:
Only one silly story this week:
Theo put so much effort into trying to burp in my face he accidentally threw up in his mouth and then it dripped down his chin, while I was stuck in a hammock with him. In case you're wondering what it's like to have a boy.
