THIRTY-ONE

We were having a bad day, and even though it seemed contrary to everything I thought was just, I took these goblins to a huge indoor play area. I didn't see them for nearly 2 hours. And somehow, rewarding their bad behavior turned them into very grateful cheerful kids who went to bed really quickly...  Plus I got to read an entire magazine uninterrupted.

2019 week thirty-one

Wednesday night Shakespeare in the Park. We have been reading the Lego Comic book version of Much Ado About Nothing all summer in preparation for this. We got to see the Junior Players and it was so fun. It was hot. It was a very very late night. Both kids hurt themselves on the hill at various points and sobbed loudly. But we had homemade pizza and watermelon and chocolate chip cookies and it was an adventure.

Theo pausing for one brief second during his running and tumbling to grab a bite of food.

Ever on the search for filling savory breakfasts that I can choke down fairly quickly in the morning. Breakfast salad fit the bill this week.

My goblins. On Friday we had a ridiculous number of errands. They were reasonably well behaved at my doctors appointment and requested a photo. This is V's new school jean jacket that she is immeasurably proud of. Just wait until you see the red high top chucks she chose for her school shoes.

After the last errand of the day we found a small gelato shop and sat to enjoy it before heading home for naps.
Quotes

Theodore

"I had no idea there could be a quarter back there! How was it in my ear! It just was magic!" After a nice gentlemen entertained my kids with coin tricks in Costco.

"This lego guy has a friendly face because he has a hotdog and usually you have a friendly face when you're eating hotdogs."

"I'm going to tell my mom you're NOT sweet!" Said to my friend Jennifer who kindly watched my kids nearly all day on Wednesday when she had to put him in time out.

Veronica

"No! Why are you here?! Go HOME!" Said to me after my friend Jennifer kindly wanted my kids nearly all day on Wednesday. And then she threw a water balloon at me.

V- "What happens when you're a grown up and you lose a tooth?"
Me- "You're just out of luck a new tooth wont grow in."
V- "But how can they lose a tooth? Like do they put it under their pillow?"
Me -"No. The tooth fairy only wants baby teeth."
V- "How would she know? Can I put it under my pillow?"
Me- "Are you thinking about stealing grown up teeth for money?"
V- *Smiles*
