TWENTY-FOUR

V was so proud that she taught the chickens to eat tomatoes out of her hand. I am less than thrilled that they quickly realized these tomatoes grow in my garden. Every tomato they can reach has been pecked to death.

2019 week twenty-four

Some of our beautiful tomatoes that escaped the chickens.
We have some very colorful tomatoes this year.

My daughter started out loving baby dolls. For her 1st birthday we gave her a nice baby doll. Since then she has never touched one and we eventually just put away all the dolls. Then she decided to make her own rag doll and is suddenly in love again.  This was her second attempt after first trying to make a doll with herbs from the garden. The "dill doll" did not hold up.

A gross photo of my children worshiping an iPad.

A much nicer photo of my kids spending their own allowance on ice cream after chasing down the ice cream truck barefoot with Papa.

Theodore had surgery this week. He got tonsils and adenoids out and ear tubes in. He's been sad and sleepy and fussy and during the times when he feels good he just wants to run and shout but he's being cooped up by impossible parents who wont let him be free. Poor thing.

Quotes

Theodore

Offering me a kiss "You want some of this?"

"OH MY N G!"

Arguing with me over his omnipotence "But I DO know everything. You don't know everything BUT I KNOW EVERYTHING!"

Veronica

Me- Theo when you go to have surgery you get to wear your favorite shark pajamas!
V- Why does he get to wear pajamas?
Me- Because the doctor said he can wear anything he likes even pajamas.
V- People can wear anything they want for surgery? Even pajamas? Well why would anyone not choose pajamas?
She really loves pajamas...
