SIXTEEN

Everything is blooming in our yard. This sage is just a showstopper this year. I especially love to see it covered in bees. I suddenly realized that I unintentionally patterned my flowers. Everything blooms pink and purple in the front yard, and orange, yellow, and white in the back yard.

V and a cousin holding chicks. The chicken coop has been nonstop occupied by children since the cousins came into town.

Queen of the Chicks.

Easter breakfast. V said, "Aww! Why didn't you make my plate look pretty too! I want a different plate, and please make my food pretty."

Luna, wishing these little chicks were her Easter breakfast.

Easter family photos

Sorry Matt, your eyes were either closed or behind sunglasses in every shot.

All the cousins in matching Easter finery.

Theo's little smirk is the cutest. Handsome little goblin.

Some of Theo's Easter basket loot.

Big family Easter dinner outside.  And while everyone was here we had enough man power to lift up the chicken coop and install the floor. Only four plants were trampled in the process, so win.

The kids got to do a big egg hunt and sit down to eat their candy, while all the adults had...

chocolate cake. :)

Quotes

Theodore

T- "Is that ok?"
Me- "No."
T -"Yes, but is that ok?"
Me- "No. It is not ok. The answer is no."
T- "Yes, but is that just ok?"
and over and over and over...

Veronica

V- "That's another one of my talents."
Me- "What is?"
V- "Being cool."

Me- "Chickies, why are you so loud? Everything ok?"
V- "Maybe they're just having a good chat? Maybe they're telling each other what they're going to be when they grow up.

One day this week we had some friends over. While the mamas were chatting, V the pied piper, distributed cups to all the children and led them through the garden snipping pieces of lettuce and radishes and carrot tops, and green onions, etc. Then she led them all inside and had me put ranch dressing in all their cups. Then they all went outside to eat their cups of salad. She was very proud.
