FIFTY-TWO

During our nativity reenactment, the sheep stole baby Jesus.
2018 week fifty-two

Christmas Eve dinner at our house.

Christmas morning. These two goblins woke at 5 am and had to stay upstairs until at least 6:45. The exertion almost killed them. :)

Cousin pup Lucy had a present under the tree too.

Santa brought Theo a stuffed animal owl whose head turns around and a car transporter truck. Santa brought V a hoodie and some makeup.

The marble run was the show stopper for these two...

and for Papa too. Thanks to Auntie Drea and Uncle Collin!

Oma sent beautiful music boxes which turns out to hold her makeup brushes perfectly. It's been all blush and bronzer and sparkle over here all week.

Beautiful blue sky.

This Christmas break our goal has been to teach V how to ride a bike. She's almost there. One day, Theo got bored of going around the track and ventured into the mud and immediately got stuck. He wasn't too cut up about it.

Mince pies with fruit and ham for breakfast. I found these beautiful molds at an antique store. I see more tartlets in our future.

Matt's brother Jacob stayed with us for a couple days to help us redo the garden beds. After 5 years of fighting for sunlight we just moved everything forward 10 feet like we knew we needed to. It was two days of shoveling and heavy lifting. We tried to make it worth his time with biscuits and gravy and a steak and cheese pie.

Quotes

Theodore

Hears emergency vehicle siren, "Maybe there's an emergency. Like maybe an important person burned down."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
