I made some moon cakes for a Mid Autumn Moon Festival. They were so pretty. Here they are just before going into the oven.

Matt found a fancy robe at the company store that he decided to send as a gift to his sister. Here he is quality-control testing it before shipping.

V got to try on her costume for the Nutcracker this year. She's a cherub.

We've been beset with tomato horn worms. Matt has been letting Theo pluck them off with pliers and storing them in a tupperware. Those things are so fat and squishy and horrible. They give me the shivers. And they destroy my tomato plants.

Me- "Hm. I wonder why it smells so bad back here."
T- "Maybe it's an armadillo smell."

"I just wish Luna would die and come back up to be a cat zombie. I wish I could have a cat zombie."

"Mama. I need a shower right. now. " This one comes with a story. Theo stores bugs in tupperware containers and leaves them outside. Sometimes he fills the containers with water to be swimming pools. Well... he found an unopened and rotten water- and bug-filled tupperware and opened it and POURED IT ON HIS HEAD! He realized immediately that this was a mistake and luckily Matt was in the shower so I sent him there rather quickly. When I emptied the container I almost threw up. It was awful. 


Me- "I was talking to the kids and they decided they wanted to be Jurassic Park characters for Halloween."
Matt- "Uhm. I guess this means I"m a success as a parent."

Veronica

"Why does that lady talk with an ax-ant." She can't say "accent" without a silly accent and I find it hilarious."

Me- "Those are nice stickers where did you get those?"
V- "Zackary and Camden gave them to me."
Me- "How nice! Did they give everyone a sticker?"
V- "No. Just me."
Me- "Really. Why did they give just you a sticker?"
V- "I don't know. I guess I'm their best friend or something."
