Pirate Day

 Last Thursday was "Talk Like a Pirate Day." Some friends of ours had a little pirate party, and because we are a facepainting family, our costumes were enhanced by Husbands prodigious skill. Vera was first with some impressive pirate eyebrows; which, after a quick swipe with her drool-covered hand, became some pirate beauty marks as well.

 All of the food was tasty -especially the apples with the brown sugar cream cheese dip. I may have eaten more than my share. Vera had a fun time pirating about.  And all the little kids had a fun time stealing Husband's sword and pirate gun.

 I had a brutal looking pirate scar, and Husband had some elegant pirate whiskers.

I feel lucky that he likes to dress up and be silly when the occasion requires. Also, Vera makes the cutest baby pirate. Though I hope those eyebrows do not come to be. :)
