WHY WE MISS HUSBAND/DAD

Husband is gone again. Boo. This time he's on a scout kayaking campout thing in Oklahoma.We already miss him. We got to see his nice face for about 45 minutes in total today. :(

Because I am sitting here missing him and there is nothing on Netflix, AND I wont watch Arrested Development without him, I started to compile a list of why we miss him.

1. He is so good at his calling. He's the Young Men's secretary and he usually isn't required to go to a lot of things, but he always goes. Why? Because he's a good example and wants to help get those young men to shape up. Teenagers often need help in that area. 

2. He's on this campout even though he won't be going to High Adventure and this campout is to help them prepare for High Adventure just so he can help the other leaders and be a good example.

3. "I don't slow down for pictures." -Matthew Cole on our family walk all the way to Braums for frozen yogurt.

4. He always pushes the stroller -always. Unless I ask him to take a photo of me. See below.

Look at Vera's funny expression. "And I was like, Ooooooh snap!"

5. He was home for like 45 minutes today, as I said, and said to me, "I'm sorry I don't have time to do the dishes for you. Thank you for making dinner." Seriously? What a Husband. 

6. He wasn't thrilled by my choice to cloth diaper, but who offers to change her diaper for me? Husband. Always. 

7. The way he changes her diaper makes me laugh. He always gives her a moment to let her buns breath and he wafts cool air toward her with the diaper. It is cute and I love it.

8. He rolls over in the middle of the night to give me a hug while I'm feeding V. 

9. He is the most frustratingly logical person. It is very hard to press a point with him because he sees all sides much quicker than I do. This has trained me to be able to make better arguments/play the devils advocate.

10. He always tries. He never gives up and is willing to try new things. He puts up with me being embarrassing or tactless or tearful and is very quick to tell me he loves me and encourage me to do better. This kid wont EVER let us leave church early/skip church. Curse you trying to help me do the right thing. 

I love Husband so much. He is my best friend. I hate it when he goes away, but I love that I know and will never question that he will always do the right thing. Plus he's so attractive (don't you just hate it when people tell you how attractive their husband is? It always made me feel uncomfortable because I usually didn't agree. But you don't have to agree, I think he's very handsome.) I'm so grateful for this good Husband and V loves her nice Dad. She thinks he has a nice face and voice.
