THIS WEEKEND

In an effort to make some extra money and potentially get this baby out of me (no luck) I worked the Ft. Worth Main Street Art Festival with Husband and the whole carny facepaint clan. I just did glitter tattoos and didn't make nearly as much as the facepainters, but I still made up for the two days of lost work and walked away with $100 extra dollars in my pocket. Husband fared far better than I did. He already got paid for the weekend and walked away with about 10x as much as I did! Some people were dropping 20s in his tip bucket! But that is probably because a) he's a great facepainter, and b) this boy knows how to schmooze customers. Also, some of it may have been due to his fancy tip bucket sign:

I feel grateful to have married into a facepainting clan. This means I never have to spend $8 to get my child's face painted. Seriously, who pays for things like that? We wont. Dad will always be able to paint their faces if they so desire.

PS It is Earth Day! I wanted the baby to come today so it could share a pretty great birthday with one of my oldest friends (14 years!). Happy Birthday Adrienne! Also she's a botanist. A botanist with an Earth Day birthday. I love it.
