And Texas slapped us with winter

Husband was giddy all day that I had to eat all my mean words about Texas weather when it started to snow. Yes, snow. on Christmas! I was so thrilled. But let's be real, it was 82 degrees last week. Anyway, after a night of Redding-worthy torrential rain and unsurpassed Texas thunder and lightning, Christmas afternoon was white. And it was not only kind of white. This was not just snow in the air folks. This snow stuck! And we got almost an inch! Woot! (I'll take what I can get)

We had a really lovely Christmas and our house is coming together, and it snowed. What a good day it was.

Here is a photo of us outside our new home. The inside is way cuter, but we're still not unpacked, so you'll need to wait.

Merry Christmas Cain. am I killing the joke? ok. Happy Boxing Day!

 When it began!

How it ended.

Oh and I think I should mention our two most notable Christmas surprises: a cheese-making kit, and a cast iron bacon press.

And the wimpy boys raced RC cars from the safety of our living room.

Donuts in the snow...
