What has really been going on

So for the past 3 months I have said nothing to anyone -except my yoga teacher and doctor -about being pregnant. I'm so happy to not have to watch what I say or wear in case someone finds out.

I barely started showing a few days ago, which is exciting.

It was no accident. One way I could convince Husband that the time was right was that we would be able to tell everyone by our Halloween costume. We thought of Chef and Bun in the Oven, A boat with a sign that said "Baby on Board" and he would be the Captain to which he said you want me to be a "seaman"? No. We settled on Spaghetti and a can of Prego. Husband even made a giant vinyl sticker label of the Prego can. In the ingredients list he included "One Baby" and he changed the expiration date to our due date, and it was going to be really cute, until we discovered that it had been done A MILLION times already. After much pondering we came up with the door part of "knocked up" and eventually decided on the door knocker. And I think it turned out really well.

I scored a free refrigerator box from Lowes. Thank you Lowes. And I crammed it into the back of our small Hyundai. If you need a refrigerator box, go to the back and ask if they have any extras. They have all those unwrapped refrigerators, I figured they would have some boxes. And they acquiesced and it was fortuitous.

I'm still waiting for photos from Halloween night to write more about all that fun.

As far as the pregnancy goes, I never threw up during the entire first trimester. I was expecting this because my gag reflex is defective and it is difficult for me to throw up even when I am extremely sick. I did feel extremely nauseous (which I finally learned how to spell) for about 3 weeks. I am very grateful that it was not much more than that. And, as of right now, almost 15 weeks, I haven't gained any weight and I have been classified as a no-risk pregnancy. Yahoo.

We don't want to find out the gender, and if we accidentally find out we wont tell you -sorry. The surprise will be more fun. A plus to this surprise is we hopefully will get a lot of unisex onesies so this baby and future babies can share. I am all about recycling.

  2. So exciting!!! And yes, all my friends get pregnant in spurts. Whenever one tells me they're pregnant I end up finding 5 - 6 more who are too. But YAY! I'm glad you haven't been sick and I loved your Halloween costumes!
