Pumpkin Patch

On Halloween Eve -not to be confused with All Hallows Eve (the day before All Saints Day which we know as Halloween) I mean the evening BEFORE Halloween. All Hallows Eve eve? Anyway, on that night we raced to the pumpkin patch after a delicious hot dinner of homemade red beans and rice to catch a pumpkin in the last few minutes of the patch being opened.

The sun was just setting and it was slightly misty and dusky. And a huge pale full moon was rising. It was the perfect pumpkin patch setting.

We found a big pumpkin that I thought was marked as $20, but when we got home we realized it was $18. Husband said I must be getting spoiled or something to over pay for my pumpkins. I think he said something to the effect, "Pay the man a tip, Reginald!" Not true. I just have poor eyesight at times.

Apparently when you go when the pumpkin patch ISNT about to close they have apple cider and rides and games. But we had a magical race through the pumpkin patch and over a couple fences through the dusk to find our pumpkin.

I just love this time of year. Two days later it was 90 degrees. I just have to say that. 90 degrees. C'mon Texas! What is the deal!?
