Most cities around the world are home to the Pigeon. In Utah and my home town of Redding, Seagulls were the main fair. Here in Texas, the trash bird is the Grackle. They are small and black and their tail feathers are always mussed up and sticking out in odd directions as if they had just been in a fight or rolled out of their crack den somewhere. They sound like they're choking on frogs when they "sing". They are so dirty and gross. And they are everywhere! Plus their name is The Grackle. That name sounds like something a weirdo monster would be called in Labrynth or something similar.
The only other trash birds I could think of were the pigeon and seagull. Do you know of any others?
We had some when we lived in NJ called guinea fowl. Ridiculous animals that would always get stuck in our basement porches haha. Also I'm obsessed with reading your blog right now, obviously :)
ReplyDeleteChris complains about the Magpie up in Montana. He hates them, but I think they're kinda pretty, all black and white.
