Theo, up before the dawn laying in the dirt waiting to be taken to school.

2024 week seventeen 

V definitely outgrew her old bike so we got her an early birthday present.

School Fun Run!

On Saturday morning, V got her letter from Hogwarts. I couldn't wait to tell her "It's not every day your young woman turns 11." 

She had a Tri-Wizard birthday party with some friends. Matt is explaining the first task. 

They each picked their dragon with a certain colored ribbon. 

They had to swing and collect the egg with the correct color ribbon.

All the champions trying to figure out the clue inside the egg. They had to dive into a friends pool to retrieve two rocks, one with their first initial and one with their last. 

Back home to change and do a quick scavenger hunt for a maze. 

The first to complete the maze was given the location of the goblet full of candy. Well done Lea! 

Then Chick-fil-A lunch and Ice cream for dessert. 

Once all the champions went home, we drove up to Denton to get some new chicks. 

Lea came with us and got to pick out a few chicks. Matt saw the guinea chicks and decided to get the remaining three. Wish us luck. I'm not sure our yard is cut out for guinea fowl, but we'll see. 

The cousins came over to pet all the babies. 

The boy who likes a little bit of biscuit with his gravy. 

They were trying to make a slip-n-slide for the rope swing. 

I'm only going to caption these with how precious, and sweet, and innocent childhood, and nothing at all whatsoever about the amount of times they washed their feet only to go back outside and each time left a trail of mud through the house and...nope. Not mentioning that. *Breathe out calmly*

Matt had a lot of lucky breaks with the weather this weekend, and got really far on the coop.
