Beautiful May. |
2021 week nineteen
This is her whole life right now. She skated so much this past weekend that she bruised her heel. |
We made really cute forest layer terrariums in class. |
Theo brought home a bucket he painted and decorated for Mother's Day. It was full of wood chips. I never got to see how cute it was in its intended shape, because as you can imagine, it spilled in the car. And in the house. And again in the backyard. It was tragic for all of us. wood chips everywhere. After my annoyance ran its course I promised him we would go buy a plant to live in his bucket. |
On Friday we had a nacho party with all the cousins. Matt buried several old cow horns I had been given and let the cousins dig them up. |
On Saturday we took Matt's mom out to breakfast. |
And then we went for a long walk. |
Mother Nature's Son spent the whole time making a bouquet and repeatedly walking through/stepping on poison ivy. |
With Grandma. |
V spent some of her birthday money on the illustrated Harry Potter book and spent most of Saturday listening to Jim Dale read it to her as she flipped through the pages. |
Salem spent almost all of Sunday in this cardboard laundry basket cradle. |
Happy Mother's Day. I get to comfort you while you sob because I took a bite of your last piece of sausage on your plate. |
Quotes:
Theodore
"Why wont you let me see a dead body? I just want to see one!"
"The present is ruined to the brim!" The aforementioned wood chip bucket after it spilled for the third time.
"There are so many good plants. I just want to live in the wild!"
Veronica
"Wow. I can't believe how amazing these tater tots are!" Apparently I had never given her tater tots until this weekend. Understandably her mind was blown.
