FIFTY-TWO

2020 week fifty-two

Matt and I celebrated our ten year anniversary this year. We always hoped to go back to Rome, but 2020 disagreed.

Veronica wrote her own recipe.

I love mince pies. No one in my family likes them so I only make a few and I love every bite of them.

V and T took glamour selfies.

On Christmas Adam we had local people over for our new tradition of 12 Days of Christmas dinner. Everyone gets assigned a couple "days" and has to come with a dish that somehow correlates. It has been really fun the past two years. This year we also had a Christmas carol piano recital.

And of course, the nativity play.

This was the first year we ever did Christmas morning at our own house.

Theo got so much camo, and he was so thrilled.

The day after Christmas we were on a flight to Utah to see some family and some snow.

So happy to see Uncle Jacob.

Even though the snow barely covered the lawn, the kids loved it. They were out in it every chance they got. It helps when you have a cute puppy to run around with too.

We took a drive to a snowy trail so the kids got a chance to really romp around.

It was magical and beautiful and I could not convince Theo not to eat the parking lot snow. He was undeterred.

Quotes

Theodore

"What are those lines in the sky? Are they airplanes? Maybe they're not airplanes. Maybe they're scratches in the sky."

To the tune of the ants go marching. "A worm is crawling up your hair hoorah hoorah! A worm is crawling up your hair to make you hair so nice so nice."

Veronica

V- "UGH! The piano is just HARD!"
Me- "What would you like me to say?"
V- "NOTHING! I just want to say it's HARD!"

After I told her we probably need to go to the car wash on the way home. "NO! We can't go to the car wash without Theo! Buddy will be so sad!"
