FORTY-TWO

Some mornings V gets to hold Funyun for a bit before class.

2020 week forty-two

Last weekend I made this little red coat for V. She was inspired by a coat from the movie Hocus Pocus and I Frankenstein-ed a few patterns to make this one.

My mom sent the kids some family photos in little Halloween cards, I can't believe how much I look like Theo in this photo.

One day after school I took V to vote.

In the mornings I will sometimes project my picture on the whiteboard for V to make "fancy." She does a terrifying job.

On Thursday this amazing boy turned 5! He wanted tacos for dinner and berry cake. Theo is such a clever and passionate boy. He can have laser focus and is very well-spoken. He can filibuster like no other...

On Friday night we watched the new cartoon Addams Family as a family. V spent the whole weekend dressed like Wednesday Addams and snapping her fingers. I tried to get a video of it but she caught me.

Theo's idea of the best game: pile EVERYTHING in the house and climb on it...

This garden fairy is everything I've ever wanted in a daughter. She is pure magic.

On Sunday we got a new little slinky malinki. Over breakfast when we were trying to decide what to name him V suggested "Salem." We all voted that we loved it. Then Theo said very thoughtfully, "Hmm. What about... Jonathan?" We all laughed so hard. So, let me introduce Salem Jonathan.

Matt's parents came over for pumpkin painting on Sunday night. I made some pumpkin raviolis that I thought were fantastic. Everyone else just felt like pumpkin in ravioli felt like a mean trick.

This little witch is so happy to have her own witches cat.

Quotes:

Theodore

T- "I know some day you'll die, and I'm sad."
Me- "Yes, but not anytime soon!"
T- "But you already have these lines (points to my face) here and here and here..."

Veronica

Points to scribbles, "This in octopus means, 'Your tentacle is fabulous.'"

"Yuck! This tastes like rotten cat!"
