We've been using a clip chart to help reinforce being asked once to do something. When they get to pink they get a small piece of candy. If they happen to get it at the same time, they will pretend to eat it all and hide a piece from the other. When the other kid actually finishes their candy the hider will whip out their saved piece of candy with a flourish to be the last one to finish their candy.
The kids have been terrorizing the cat lately and now move in wordless formations through the house giving silent cues to each other to trap and catch the cat.
