2019 week twenty-one

Lady of the chicks formal wear. 

We hit 1,000 miles on the bike on the last week of school!

Veronica got an award in kindergarten for always having healthy lunches and snacks, so, ahem, I received an award in kindergarten this week for always packing healthy lunches and snacks.

Veronica's end of year sneakers look so very tired. They are panting out of breath, "Is it summer vacation yet?" V got the satisfying job of throwing them in the trash on the last day of school. 

This is Luna's specific hell. The pure look of irritation in those eyes just cuts right through you. She especially likes it when they peck on the glass taunting her. 

We had some out of town family over for dinner that coincided with artichokes being on sale. We grilled them and that was an artichoke game changer. 

Uncle Glen and Uncle Andrew came down to Texas. 

The kids have been fighting over who gets to sit by, talk to, touch Uncle Andrew the most. He's very loved here. 

We took him to the popsicle place and as usual it did not disappoint. 

Summer naps aren't complete without a cat. 

When she realized I was taking photos... 

We tried a new-to-us Chicken and Waffles restaurant. It was so good we had to take naps to recover. Theodore was in awe over the combination of his two favorite foods. I've never heard him so vocal about how much he loved his food before.
