FOUR

Playing with the fossil blocks they got from Jurassic Quest.
2019 week four

The little plaster bricks had real fossils inside. Each kid got a tooth and a couple sea shells.

A quick errand to Lowe's turned into a tour of a fire truck! We love the kind Lewisville Fire Fighters. They always make time to give the kids a sticker or sit them up front with the headset and talk to them through the microphones. Theo was just the happiest little thing.

V playing school with Theo. She was trying so hard to get him to read. "What does this letter say? Ok. Now blend the sounds. You can do it."

Sad cat in her Thunder Vest. Maybe someday she'll stop uncontrollably licking and she can graduate to a proper cat.

"Mama. Take a picture of this dinosaur in this jeep." I think he said he was a "Flying-dactyl"

100th day of school meant V could dress up/paint her face like a granny. She really hated the forehead wrinkles. Ha. Don't we all. Theo needed to be a part of the facepainting so he got a snake.

He was really proud of this little maneuver.

Every one of us was sick sick sick this weekend. All the bodily fluids. We did next to nothing from Saturday morning until Sunday night. Next to nothing but drink gatorade and wash sheets on repeat. Monday morning dawned beautiful and clear but his right jolly old goblin was less than jolly. He was a mess of screaming and tantrums. So I brought down the giant lego bucket from the attic (we keep it there to just refresh our current legos periodically).  He contentedly sat in front of this bucket for three solid hours. Mom win.

Quotes:

Theodore has silly names for all the animals that live in his bed.
Bear - "Barney" or sometimes "Bearny" (Bearny is extra cute because he's trying to say "Bernie" from Puffin Rock, but he's copying their sweet little Scottish accent.)
Big Possum -"Biggie" "Biggie Poss" "Possta" or my least favorite "Bigot"
Little Possum - "Littley" "Lillet"
Owl - "Pip" "Owley" "Otto"
Hedghog - "Hedgie"
(Yes, you're right. He does have a lot of animals that he HAS to sleep with.)

After we saw some more firemen in the grocery store "I should have smiled at them so they could see my dimples. They would have liked that."

V learned how to braid hair, and read a book all by herself this week. She is immensely proud of her skills.
